Esher Cars turns a traditional taxi website into a 24/7 booking platform.
A premium Next.js website for Esher Cars, a private hire and airport transfer firm in Surrey: online booking, owner-managed airport fares and a custom CMS, so the owner runs the site, fleet, pricing and enquiries from one dashboard.

Esher Cars needed an online presence that better reflected its service quality and reduced the operational burden of managing its website. The objective was clear: a premium website that works as a practical business tool, not simply an online brochure.
An outdated digital experience
The existing website lacked the polished presentation expected from a professional private hire and airport transfer service.
Too much dependence on developers
Updating prices, replacing vehicle images, changing contact details or editing page content needed external help, slowing down routine business decisions.
A limited booking journey
Customers mostly relied on phone or email to enquire, which created friction for people arranging transport outside normal working hours.
Fragmented enquiries
Booking requests, general enquiries and driver applications needed a more organised way to be collected and managed.
No centralised control
The owner wanted to manage the website independently, down to individual images, headlines, paragraphs and links.
What we built
Four priorities, one platform.
01 · Customer-facing
Online booking
Customers arrange journeys online, at any hour, without depending on phone calls or email exchanges.
Pickup, destination, date and time
Vehicle selection
Upfront airport fares, from rates the owner manages
Pay the driver after the journey, with no online card step
An email confirmation to the customer and an alert to the owner
Every booking in the admin dashboard to review, confirm and manage
02 · Owner-facing
A custom CMS
A dedicated content management system, so routine updates never wait for a developer.
Edit every page, from the homepage to the legal and accessibility pages
Update phone numbers, email addresses and key links in one place
Add, edit or remove vehicles and replace photographs
Adjust airport transfer fares
Create local landing pages and publish testimonials
Upload imagery to a cloud media library
03 · Owner-facing
One inbox for submissions
Booking requests, enquiries and driver applications arrive in one place.
Bookings, contact enquiries and driver applications together
Status tracking, such as new and handled
Structured driver applications, easy to review
Authenticated access, team accounts and password reset
04 · Customer-facing
Premium design, built on trust
The first impression a customer gets, designed to communicate professionalism before the journey begins.
Clean, premium interface: typography, spacing, imagery and motion
Mobile-first layouts for customers booking from their phones
Prominent booking and contact options
A fast, streamlined experience
SEO foundations: structured metadata, a sitemap and local landing pages
The difference: a dynamic CMS
A website the owner edits themselves: any image, any text, any content.
The client asked for one thing above all: the freedom to change anything on the site without calling a developer. So we did not build a fixed website. We built a dynamic CMS, and the site is made from content the owner controls, down to individual images, headlines, paragraphs and links.
01
Sign in to the admin
The owner and their team sign in to a secure dashboard.
02
Change anything
Edit a headline, swap an image, adjust a fare, add a vehicle or publish a testimonial.
03
The site reflects it
The website shows the new content, with no developer in the loop.

The takeaway
A premium website should give a business more than a better first impression. It should give the business more control.
For Esher Cars, we brought together thoughtful design, online booking, a custom CMS and centralised lead management in one platform. The outcome is a digital foundation the business can manage and build on as its services, fleet and customer needs evolve.
