Case study · Mobile App · Connected Toy
Boppo brings a connected game console to iOS and Android.
A companion app for Boppo, a physical light-up game console for kids — pairing over Bluetooth to browse and launch games like Catch the Runner, Color Mixer and Memory.
- One Flutter app, iOS and Android
- Pairs over Bluetooth
- Live on both app stores

- 01
Pair the device
The app pairs with the physical Boppo device over Bluetooth. Device pairing, naming and game selection all live in the app.
- 02
Pick a game
Button Wrestle, Catch the Runner, Run Away, Color Mixer, Color Discovery, Memory and more, each browsable and launchable from the app.
- 03
Play on the device
Games run on the physical device's own lights and buttons, so the app configures and launches, and the toy does the playing.

What the client said
“Boppo sits at the intersection of hardware, software and play, so there were a lot of details that had to work together. MetaBuf helped us turn the companion app into a practical part of the overall product rather than treating it like a separate piece of software. They were easy to work with and willing to dig into the technical details when needed.”
